After attempting to start your Savage, pull the plug and verify you are getting fuel to the cylinder. Or if you are brave, try a very small shot of ether to verify everything else is OK. A fuel wetted plug will drain the spark to ground rather than let it arc across the gap, so even with a spark at the wire, there may be none at the plug. Pretty hard to misstime a LS650 as it is crankshaft driven and either works or not as it is electronic. Seldom would be intermittent, but possible.A wire could be loose in the harness and with the vibration of cranking, break the connection. check all the connections. DO let us know here what you found out so we all can learn.
